The University of Utah Orthopaedic Center offers educational programs for wellness and injury prevention. 

  • The Build a Bone Program offers education and exercise for optimal bone health and recovery from low bone density.  Low bone density affects more than 40 million men and women.  1.5 million Fractures occur annually from osteoporosis.  We will teach 5 things you can do to have better bone health! 

  • The Sportsmetrics program offers education and exercise to minimize risk for knee injury, especially young girls involved in sports such as soccer and basketball.  Female athletes are 2-10 times more likely to injure their knee than male athletes.  This program has drills that teach the athlete how to position the entire body safely when jumping or landing.  We will teach a few exercises that you can to save your knees!
  • The Wasatch Weight Vest is a great tool to increase exercise intensity. This vest loads your leg bones helping to improve bone strength.  Wearing the vest improves your posture during exercise performance.  Having the weight vest on will increase the intensity of your workout which will cause you to burn more calories and help reduce body weight.  It will also help increase muscle strength in your legs.  This weight vest is a great tool for overall health.
