Community Food Co-op

What do smart people do when they want to have good, nutritious food, save money and help their local community at the same time? They participate in the Community Food Co-op of Utah!

Every month, the Community Food Co-op of Utah combines the buying power of its members to offer high-quality, fresh food at substantial savings. Add your buying power to ours - become a member today. Proceeds go to Crossroads Urban Center to help people in our community.

We also hold Monday Market and Mobile Market sales that offer fresh produce and local food at a variety of locations.

As an organization, the Community Food Co-op of Utah combines the buying power of its members to offer fresh, healthy food at a terrific cost. We look to local producers first and buy organic whenever we can. We try to educate our members and the public on how to eat healthily and on the advantage of fresh, local food. Proceeds from our organization go to Crossroads Urban Center to help people in the community.

As a non-profit, we’re all about making every resource we have do double and even triple duty. Waste is not something that’s in our vocabulary. If we’re unable to sell produce we’ve ordered, we take it to Crossroads for their food pantry. We even have a list of backyard farmers who come and take any produce we have that isn’t saleable or useable to feed to their livestock.

As individuals, we all live as green as possible. Several members of our small staff bike to work every day. Several of us also volunteer for Green Teams and other education initiatives. We all try to walk the walk and are conscious of green living and have implemented them into our homes and lives.
